Henry Kaplan, D.O.
Dr. Kaplan provides psychiatric services to a school-aged population as well as adults, particularly with comorbid (multiple) diagnoses especially in the areas of ADHD, mood disorders (including Bipolar Disorder), anxiety disorders, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
Dr. Kaplan earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Fort Worth Osteopathic Medical Center and his residency at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute in Iowa. He completed fellowship training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He received a M.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University and his undergraduate degree was from the City University of New York. Dr. Kaplan also trained as a U.S. Navy Flight Surgeon in Pensacola, Florida, where he earned his Wings of Gold. He prepared Student Naval Aviators to become commissioned officers where he earned a number of awards.
Dr. Kaplan is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Osteopathic Association, Indiana State Medical Association, and Vanderburgh County Medical Society. He has been a nationally recognized and highly respected speaker for a number of pharmaceutical companies and has participated in clinical research trials.
