Sara Evans is a licensed mental health counselor who works with children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults to assist them in making change in identified areas of potential growth. She received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science from Ball State University. For more than 8 years she has been providing treatment to a diverse group of clients in a variety of outpatient settings. Sara practices as a generalist, but has the most extensive experience with depression, anxiety, trauma related concerns, personality disorders, perfectionism, family relational problems, grief and loss, and non-suicidal self-injurious behavior. She practices using interpersonal and feminist approaches as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution focused therapies, and trauma informed care. Sara also utilizes self-compassion as an integral part of her therapeutic approach.
